In recent months, the engagement level of NVCA’s CFO Taskforce  has reached new heights with a number of NVCA members actively involved in FAF, FASB, AICPA, and other committees. These “seats at the table” help policymakers understand the nuances and needs of venture capital firms and portfolio companies. Among key positions:

• Jason Mendelson of Foundry Group - FAF’s  Blue Ribbon Panel on Private Company Accounting
• Stephen Holmes of InterWest and recently James Beck of Mayfield Fund - FASB’s Small Business Advisory Committee (SBAC)
